CHROME OXIDE: WRITER Under the pen name of Chrome Oxide I write humorous science fiction and fantasy. However, I've been accused of writing murder mysteries since I murder the English language and it's a mystery how I get published.
When people ask why I write humorous science fiction and fantasy, I explain that my reality check bounced.

The Benefits of Using Microsoft Word for Your Writing
In the May Panel for GLAWS, seasoned writers Chrome Oxide and Neil V. Young offer their experience with Word as it applies to writers. They will cover the use of Word before, during, and after your coveted publishing contract goals. Advanced features like templates, the editorial process, proper manuscript format, as well as keeping all those rewrites straight will be examined. They are here to help you unlock Word’s full potential for your writing career.
Neil V. Young
is a Board member of GLAWS who works full-time as a technical writer (and thus, a Word user) for the last 25 years. When not churning out user manuals and guides for robots and ceramic mills, Neil is a science fiction, fantasy and horror writer with many honorable, silver honorable mentions and a Finalist in the annual Writers of the Future Contest. His work has appeared in dozens of magazines and websites, including Challenge Magazine and 69 Flavors of Paranoia. He lives in Fountain Valley, California. He has dozens of short stories and three novels behind him. His first novel, Children of the Stars drops on Amazon May 15th, 2024.
Chrome Oxide
writes humorous satirical science fiction and fantasy. However, he's been accused of writing murder mysteries since he murders the English language and it's a mystery how he gets published. When asked why he writes humor, he explains that his reality check bounced. Authors are supposed to write what they know. Since he writes science fiction, he must be a space cadet. He can be found at http://www.chromeoxide.com/writer/ and lost everywhere else. Chrome is also a Published Finalist for Writers of the Future.
For the discerning reader, I am selling copies of my recently released 28 Minutes Into The Future, a collection of my humorous science fiction and fantasy short stories.
